Comparison : Android versus iOS
Android from Google and iOS from Apple are basically operating systems being used in their mobile technologies - for instance, smartpones, tablets. Android OS is Linux Based and partly open source as well, as the features and interfaces can be customized, almost completely. This is also not the case in iOS, but their uniformity in the designs/interface are considerably more user-friendly. The apps being used in both of the operating systems are quite different and switching to other source, require some time to master. Furthermore, there could be some apps, that you have to buy again for the relative OS. No doubt, Android is considered to be the world's most commonly used smartphone, as the OS is being used by different mobile manufacturers in their products (phones/tablets), whereas iOS is used by Apple only.
